Well I've been doing a chain, it's like you trade something for something with a little bit more value, then it goes up to something big. Here's how mine went:

Pot -> 23 coal -> 800 waters 600 minds -> 20k -> Rune Scimitar -> 90 lobsters and 70 natures -> 700 lobsters -> Full Rune -> What next???

I might raise it to a party hat though. :O
